You Can Go As Far As You Want To Go

“So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
(Matthew 25:20-23 NLT)
In the passage above, Jesus taught about three servants who were all given talents from a king. The master gave the talents and he went away to a distant land. What is this parable a depiction of? None other than the Lord Jesus himself. The Bible says that Christ ascended into heaven and gave gifts unto men. Jesus will remain in heaven until He returns to catch the church up in the air! What I find interesting from this passage is that the king gave the talents and retreated to a distant land. After he gave the talents, he was completely uninvolved when it came to the multiplication of the talents. You see that one servant multiplied his talents 5 times over, one servant multiplied his 2 times over, and one returned the original amount. Who told the servant that multiplied the talent five times over that he had to stop at five? Who told the other servant he had to stop at two? No one! The servants had the choice to multiply the talents as much or as little as they chose! Every promise of God has been fulfilled in Christ! The ball is in your court! You can take the word of God and go as far and as fast as you desire. God is not holding you back! You can multiply five times, ten times, one hundred times, or a thousand times! What if you lived this year like God has already given you everything you will ever need and you can go as far and fast as you want to go? What would you do? What would you achieve? This is the reality for all those who are in Christ.
