Watch Your Mouth

“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.”

(Psalm 141:3 NKJV)

“He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.”

(Proverbs 13:3 NKJV)

We must be diligent to guard our lips and monitor the confession that comes out of our mouths. Why? Because your words will determine the outcome of your life. Your words are meant for creating and accomplishing and we will all give an account for every word that was released without an assignment. Your words can prevent the promises of God from coming to pass in your life. Your words can cause you to be removed from the Lords covering that is over your life. If you wish to preserve your life you must guard your mouth. Be careful to not waste words. Be diligent to not use the power of your words to create an unpleasant reality. Stand in faith and begin to speak out the promises of God. Speak in line with the word of God and you will see mountains moving, provision flowing, and the fulness of life opened up to you.
